2003 Angelus Awards Student Film Festival Semi-Finalists

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – The 2003 Annual Angelus Awards Student Film Festival has selected 57 semi-finalists from a record 472 entries received from students representing 37 U.S. states, 19 other countries and 151 film schools, such as UCLA, USC, NYU and Florida State University.

Foreign countries represented include Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.  

The record 472 entries surpassed entries received in 2002 by 10%. Professionals in the film industry will also select the finalists, and a Blue Ribbon Jury will choose the winners.

For 56 years, Family Theater Productions, a Catholic media outlet, has been creating award-winning radio, television and cinema programs, which respect and celebrate individual dignity and the value of the family. These more than 800 programs feature hundreds of Hollywood stars and gave 1950s star actor James Dean and producer/director George Lucas their first on-screen credits.
