MovieMaker names Angelus among ‘25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee’
April 30, 2009
The Angelus Student Film Festival has been named one of “25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” by MovieMaker magazine in its Spring issue.“Targeting the younger crowd, this Hollywood-based student festival honors future moviemakers as they explore and create works that respect the dignity of the human person,” the magazine reported.
Angelus’ “early bird” entry fee through May 15 is $35, and afterwards it will be $45. The official deadline is June 1. Eligible films – dramas, comedy, documentary and animation – must have been completed between June 2007 and July 2009 while the filmmaker was an undergraduate or graduate student at a film school or university anywhere in the world. www.angelus.org.
The 2009 Angelus Student Film Festival will be held Sept. 19 at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood.
