Excellence in Filmmaking Award in honor of Fr. Patrick Peyton, CSC. $10,000
The Grand Prize Award will be given to the live-action, documentary or animation that best reflects the Angelus theme through story, direction and technical excellence. Past winners of this prestigious award include Patricia Cardoso "Real Women Have Curves," Greg Marcks "11:14" and Jessica Sharzer "Speak."
Triumph of the Spirit Award, sponsored by the Peter Glenville Foundation. $5,000
Presented to the film whose theme best reflects the triumph of the human spirit. Thematic elements may include perseverance, sacrifice, restoration, redemption and transformation.
Fujifilm Audience Impact Award $2,500
Presented to the live-action film whose compelling story, imagery, content and technical excellence delivers strong emotional audience impact. Past winners include Sabrina Dhawan “Monsoon Wedding”.
Production Excellence Award, sponsored by Mole-Richardson. $2,500
Presented to the live-action film with outstanding production values. Past winners include Sundance jury winner Tony Bui “Three Seasons” and “Green Dragon.”
Outstanding Documentary Award, sponsored by Priddy Brothers. $3,000
Presented to the documentary film whose characters best reflect a personal and moving reflection of the human spirit.
Outstanding Animation Award, sponsored by Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals. $2,000
Presented to the animation film whose story both entertains and enlightens.
